The Argus Angel Award winners for Artistic Excellence, Brighton Fringe and Festival 2011, return with a satirical gem. Set in Ireland 1994, at the birth of The Celtic Tiger.

The play interrogates attitudes towards "Easy Money," the Church's position on sex and relationships, particularly same sex, a mean confession scene, corrupt politicians. Oh, and did I mention pig racing?

Suitable for ages 15+

Alford's Legacy

A great night out and a very successful follow up play to last years M Boat. As an 'eagle' eyed critic I cant wait to see what Alford manages to conjure up for next year. Murphy's Legacy is an excellent comedy delivered in a highly competent fashion by a quality cast. The pacy dialogue and story telling perfectly complimented each other.

A laugh a minute...

Take a frustrated estate agent, a gay solicitor, a crooked politician and a, less than holy, Catholic priest mix them up with a highly profitable pig racing betting scam (yes I did say pig racing) and you have ‘Murphy's Legacy’ a new play written and directed by Eddie Alford. On the evening I saw this play it had a highly appreciative audience as eclectic as the very skilled, multi-talented cast. The off-the-wall, fast paced comedy perfectly captures the idiosyncrasies, politics and atmosphere of 1980s rural Ireland. The intimacy of The Eagle's upstairs theatre is the perfect venue for this gifted cast and director and provided one of the funniest evenings I have had at the theatre in a long time.

Witty script delivered by a talented cast

LOL funny. Liked everything from the scene when an estate agent realises she could be a lesbian to the corrupt politician who never has to pay for anything.
